This vibrant catalogue remains one of the Modern's most requested publications. In 1987 the original book was created to accompany a unique exhibition organized by The Fort Worth Art Museum (the former name of the Modern). El Dia de Los Muertos: The Life of the Dead in Mexican Folk Art quickly sold out and was reprinted in 1995 due to popular demand. The book is fully illustrated, and all text is printed in English and Spanish. It contains 85 full-color reproductions within its 110 pages. Essays by Maria Teresa Pomar on Mexico's concept of death and their national Day of the Dead Celebration are featured.
