Tadao Ando's Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth: 15 Years
Tadao Ando's Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth: 15 Years
This book celebrates the fifteenth anniversary of our museum building, designed by Tadao Ando. The following pages are organized in sections, beginning with a complete chronology of the exhibitions that have been presented here since the building's opening. This illustrated chronology is a testament to the beauty and versatility of Ando's spaces. Next are observations by our former chief curator, Michael Auping, on how these spaces can both challenge and inspire a curator. Michael interviewed Mr. Ando from the beginning of the project to its conclusion, and in the final interview, the architect looks back through his life and career. We have also included rare photographs documenting the psychical construction of the Modern between 1999 and 2002.
